Join Edublogs
On this page I will add information on how to join edublogs blogs.
The details are for creating a class blog.
Leave this window open and type the url to edublogs in another window. Alternatively, right-click the link below and open in a new tab or window.
(This way you have both windows open and you can refer to this page as needed.)
Click the "sign up here" link.
Think of a name for your blog e.g. if your class name is 6H your username could be 6Hblogs. Alternatively you could ask your students to name their blog.
Type the username (in lowercase letters).
Enter your email address. If you have a gmail account, and you are at home, type that in. The confirmation email from edublogs will get to gmail in an instant.
Tick the "I agree" box to indicate that you are an educator.
Select "Gimme a blog"
Click Next.
If your username is 6Hblogs then type your blog url as http://6hblogs.edublogs.org/ (no capital letters)
Follow the prompts till the end of sign-up. (edublogs was down unfortunately and could't get any captures of subsequent screens. Will add here later.)
You will be asked to check your email for one sent by edublogs.
This email will contain a confirmation link and your password.
Click the link to confirm that it was you who actually joined.
Enter your username and password and you should get into your blog's dashboard.
The dashboard is the area behind the scenes of your blog. It is here where you add your avatar photo, widgets, choose a design and add blog posts.
