Write a Post
Writing a Post is similar to word processing on M.Word.
To make sure all the tools for word-processing are available, go to 'Users/ Your Profile' make sure the Visual Editor is checked.
In your dashboard, go the Write tab and click on Post. This is what it looks like.
This shows the functions in the 'Visual' Tab. The HTML tab shows the post including all the html for it.
If the visual editor is enabled, you can use more text editing tools by clicking on the kitchen sink button
and the rest of the text editing tools will show up.If you'd like to make the font larger, go to paragraph and chose one of the headings from the list.
After you finish writing your post and adding any images, videos or flash objects there are a few housekeeping things to do.
Add tags, separated by commas. These tags are the key words used in your content and there may be quite a few.
The tags act as an index, helping your students and the readers to quickly locate a previous post.
The default category is 'uncategorised' so it is best to change it and 'Add a new category' or choose one that already exists. Categories are also good for searching content on the blog.
If you have not finished your post, you may want to click "save" which saves it but does not publish it. That way you may return to edit it at a later time.
You can also "preview" your post just to to see what it will look like after publishing.
if it's ready to be posted to the front page of your blog click "Publish" and click "View Site" at the top to go to the post.
When you are ready to edit an unpublished post click on the Manage Tab and then click on Post.
A list of all your posts is shown.
Click on the title of the post you would like to edit and it will open in editing mode.
