In edublogs, embeding a flash object or video requires you to paste the embed code into the posts' HTML tab and then Publishing it straight away so it is a good idea to have the content written and ready before you paste in the code.

Sue Waters has a couple of posts on how to do this on The Edublogger blog. The first post talks about embeding flash objects eg voicethread, slideshows etc. The second post talks about how to embed video.

I took my instructions of how to embed a PhotoBucket slideshow from Sue's post.
